Recently Anna has been pushing herself super hard to help us meet some financial goals. Long hours at home, long hours at work... and long hours putting up with me of course. She pushes herself back and forth between kid activities, volunteering, working, managing a house, a relationship and finances... just watching her is exhausting.
I’ve come to the realization that if there is something importantyou really want to do then you must be able to drag yourself out of the world of divided-attention and instead focus, in a purposeful way, on gaining the necessary education to really be good at what you do.
This week I was able to certify as a Total Force Leadership Development Facilitator. I set this goal because I wanted to build my leadership skills, and one of the best ways to grow a skill is to teach it to others.
The results you want come from the dedication you need. No gimmick, no games... dedication equals results. So how do you dedicate yourself to something? Another simple answer, dedication is shown through consistent action. From here it is just a matter of finding the actions you need to consistently accomplish in order to be dedicated.
